'The Fifth Estate' shows a weak plot despite the actors wonderful performance

For short, this is a movie based on true story about Wikileaks. In terms of storyline, I don’t think it’s powerful enough, despite Benedict Cumberbatch and Daniel Brühl's great acting performances.

If you’re interested in knowing what was happening behind the phenomenal and controversial site, Wikileaks, this is a movie you should watch. If you’re looking for an entertainment, something just to spend your spare time, this is not the right movie. Well, it’s obvious. This is not a smart, full of humours, and entertaining movie like 'Sherlock' (in case you watch this movie because of factor BC a.k.a Benedict Cumberbatch only). In my case, this movie is entertaining for me because I could learn what is happening behind the situation, or maybe what is happening from Daniel Berg’s point of view and what Julian Assange called it as bullshit. But this is interesting. We could see Julian’s idealism in sharing the truth to the world. His vision was powerful.

Benedict Cumberbatch himself, in my opinion, gave a great performance. It’s believable and he tried so hard to mimicking the real Julian Assange. Same thing goes to Daniel Brühl, I think he’s that kind of actor you couldn’t take your eyes off of the character he brought, although he’s not the main actor.

'The Fifth Estate' is directed by Bill Condon, starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Daniel Brühl, Alicia Vikander and David Thewlis.
