This is a very entertaining movie. I laughed a lot. Not just because of Johnny Depp but Armie Hammer was also funny. The story was okay, quite predictable. I don’t know if it was just me but I feel like this is a movie of Jack Sparrow trapped in an American Old West story.
Yes, the character of Tonto, played by Johnny Depp, is deeply resembled Jack Sparrow. It is him all over again. Maybe Johnny Depp couldn’t let that character go, it is him anyway. That is the best character that he ever played. But maybe because of that, other director also lead him to bring the same thing.
This time, Johnny Depp’s character was accompanied by John Reid, played by Armie Hammer. Anything was never ordinary with him around. His dedication to justice brought both Tonto and himself to doing unnecessary stuff.
It's entertaining to watch, but that's all. Nothing new from Johnny Depp. I don't think Armie Hammer was strong enough in this movie. But, well, nothing's wrong in watching this with friends and having fun together.
'The Lone Ranger' is directed by Gore Verbinski, produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and Gore Verbinski and starring Johnny Depp, Armie Hammer, Helena Bonham Carter.
